Adult Education classes meet from 9:00-9:45am during our program year, September-May, followed by a time of fellowship with coffee and snacks from 9:45 until our 10:15 worship in Bruch Hall.
At First Presbyterian, we believe that developing a mature faith requires continuing study and discussion. We have outstanding Adult Sunday school classes led by many talented members for our curious minds at FPC. Dynamic speakers are recruited for leading spirited discussions!
We will once again have 2 options for Adult Faith Formation this year:
Join the adult education class in the parlor at 9:00 a.m. every Sunday beginning September 11 for an engaging and meaningful discussion. This fall and winter we will be diving into the three focus areas of the PC(USA) Matthew 25 initiative - building congregational vitality, eradicating systemic poverty, and dismantling structural racism.
Our 2nd adult education class that is meeting downstairs in classroom 1 on September 11 will begin with a series about getting back to the basics of our faith. We will be thinking through our own faith formation and how we are shaped through God’s image.
Lectionary Study - We meet each Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in the Parlor, with the first 15 minutes for social time. We open with prayer. There are four Bible selections for each week, which we discuss. All participate in the discussion, and we are all very open to each others' opinions, accepting and listening and learning.
Several book studies are done each year at First Presbyterian Wooster. Contact Amy Baxstrom at abaxstrom@firstpreswooster.org to find out more!
