RDM Update

Greetings from the RDM!
When it rains (or the water supply line to the ice machine bursts in the middle of the night) it pours!
Our church home has taken it on the chin over the past month. In case you haven’t already heard, the water supply line to the ice machine and coffee maker burst in the middle of the night last month and flooded Bruch Hall, the kitchen, the gathering area, and the basement classrooms where our new tenants were about to begin classes with 30 students!! Thanks to the efforts of our staff and numerus volunteers of our church family, FPC was able to open our doors again to the various groups using our building and Montessori began classes as planned.
The bulk of the damage is covered by insurance. A committee of congregants have been formed to coordinate the damage repair and replacement of the affected floor coverings.
Also, unrelated to the flood, one of the two 20+-year-old HVAC units providing air conditioning and heat to the classrooms and Bruch Hall has failed and needs replaced. It has been determined that it will be more economical to replace both units at the same time and we are proceeding with that plan. A special “shout-out” to our new tenants, Montessori School, for their patience and understanding as we work to dry-out and cool down their newly leased space!
If anyone wishes to make a contribution to help cover the unexpected, unbudgeted, uninsured portion of either of these two projects, please let anyone on the RDM, or Donna know and we can reimburse our investment account with the funds. Thank you for your consideration!!
Before the recent, unexpected expenses, our year-to-date revenue and expenses have been proceeding as planned. Thank you to the ministry teams, staff, and the generosity of our church family as we proceed through the remaining year fulfilling our goals and promises of relevant ministry, worship, and maintaining our busy home on College Avenue.
