Pastor Nominating Committee Update

We have good news to report!  After a discernment phase that lasted approximately three months, our role of Pastor/Head of Staff is now posted and live. The role is posted on the “Great Lakes Call Finder” site and can be accessed here - https://greatlakescallfinder.org/listing/pastor-head-of-staff-wooster-ohio/
 
We have also been given approval by the Committee on Ministry (COM) to post the job on the PC(USA)’s denomination-wide site, the Church Leadership Connection (CLC).  That said, we still need the COM to formally provide our log in credentials; once we have that, we will post our job in this venue. 
 
Now we need to “signal boost” our role, and need everyone’s help to do so. Please post this role on your social media and share the role with anyone you think might be (or know of) a good candidate. If you have the names of potential candidates you like the PNC to reach out to, please send their information to us at fpcwoopnc@gmail.com. 
 
The work of the PNC now enters a new phase.  We have been working over the last several weeks developing a process for the review of candidate resumes, including a schedule and a rubric.  The upcoming weeks will add more detail to this, including appraisal criteria, questions to be asked, and formulating our responses to likely candidate questions. 
 
For the remainder of the summer schedule we will suspend our Sunday morning office hours and will reevaluate once we return to our program year schedule. However, please feel free to discuss with or ask questions of any PNC member. Or send us an email to fpcwoopnc@gmail.com.
