Pastor Nominating Committee Updates

Thanks to everyone in the congregation for your well wishes, thoughtful questions, and prayers as we continue the work of the PNC.  We thought this would be a good time to update everyone on our progress thus far.
 
When we spoke at the May Annual Meeting, we described four phases of our work: 1) Discernment; 2) Posting and Review; 3) Engagement with Candidates; 4) Call.  We are pleased to report that we will soon transition into the posting and review phase.  We have been working closely with the Presbytery and its Committee on Ministry (COM) to prepare for the posting of our role, and we have gotten permission to first post the role in the Great Lakes Call Finder, a website devoted to enabling job seekers and churches to match.  This should happen in the next 2-3 weeks.  After that, and after spending some time working with a representative of presbytery on our full church information package, we expect to post our role within the PC(USA)'s Church Leadership Connection site by the end of July.
 
Once our role is posted, we will provide the link to you via this newsletter.  At that point, please feel free to forward it to anyone you believe may be a good candidate, or would know of good candidates.  We want to cast our net as widely as possible, so any way you can extend our network would be much appreciated.  If you'd prefer to send PNC your suggested candidates or venues where we should share our information, feel free to do so at fpcwoopnc@gmail.com
