Greetings from the RDM!
The first quarter of 2026 is finished and the FPC financial picture so far finds us at a surplus. Thank you all for your support of our programming and missions and fulfilling your pledges and promises as we journey through this year.
Some fiscal highlights so far in 2026 include:
- We have begun receiving rental income from Montessori’s new high school program being housed on the lower level of our church building. They expect to open their doors on July 1 and are currently advertising for enrollment for the 2026-27 school year. Be sure to welcome the students and staff of Montessori as we enter into a new relationship that will benefit both of our organizations!
- FPC received over $72,000 from the former Wee Care Daycare Center that was housed on our lower level several years ago. The source of these funds were the remaining cash that Wee Care had after paying their final obligations and ending their operations. The Wee Care board voted to donate these funds to us in appreciation of the many years that they called First Presbyterian Church home.
- Of the $72,000 Wee Care funds, we deposited $50,000 into our investment account for future funding programming, mission, and structure projects.
- Credit goes to RDM member Stuart Miller and Amy Baxstrom for creating a stewardship pamphlet outlining the many ways that your pledges and contributions help fund the FPC’s programming, missions, and structure. Look for this pamphlet located in the gathering area and future mailings.
2026 will be a year of transition with David’s retirement and the newly formed PNC faithfully working to find our next pastor. Please be assured that RDM and Session are keeping the financial health of FPC a top priority as we progress throughout the year.
Sincerely,
Tom Rumbaugh, RDM Chair
