Historic Church Tour - December 5

On December 5th from 4:00-7:00pm we will be participating in the Historic Church Tour. We will need volunteers to welcome guests into the church, showcase our beautiful Sanctuary, and invite them to Bruch Hall for some light refreshments and spiritual practices. Join us as we explore historic churches throughout Downtown Wooster with music, holiday decorations, refreshments, and more on Friday, December 5th, 2024 from 4 - 7:00 PM - this tour will be a hop on/hop off style. We will be providing a bus where guests can sit and wait for the stop/church they would like to see. The shuttle driver will call out the stop number and guests can hop on/hop off as they like. Please park at the Wayne County Public Library, 220 W Liberty St., where the bus will be loading & unloading after each loop.  The shuttle is free, but tips for the driver are appreciated.

Participating Churches include:

St. James Episcopal Church - 201 N Market St. Tours of the Sanctuary, Bruch Hall.

Wooster United Methodist Church - 243 N Market St. Participants can walk around the sanctuary as they listen to Christmas music played by our organist. Literature detailing our church's history and architecture will be available. No food or drink will be served at this time. 

First Baptist Church  246 N Market St. Refreshments, seasonal music, presentation on the history

Central Christian Church - 407 N. Market St. Refreshments and Country Recording Artist, Jill Burke will be singing at Central Christian Church!

Second Baptist Church - 245 S. Grant St.

Zion Lutheran Church - 301 N Market St. Zion Lutheran Members will be available in the sanctuary to provide a brief history of the church, carols will be playing on the Schantz Pipe Organ, and refreshments will be served as people exit the sanctuary and building. 

First Presbyterian Church - 621 College Ave. Enjoy the beauty of our sanctuary and our organ! Refreshments will be served in the back hall.

St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception  - 527 Beall Ave.  Walking self-guided tour with information available, refreshments in lower well

People to People Ministries - 545 College Ave. Tours of the facility & refreshments.

Wooster Seventh-day Adventist Church - 445 N. Bever Street. Neil Jackson playing the pipe organ, refreshments & tours of the sanctuary.

Trinity United Church of Christ - 150 E. North St. Musicians, tours and refreshments.
