It's time to register your child for our Creative Arts Camp at FPC!
Who decides who is my neighbor?
What happens when we care for our neighbor? Or when we don't?
These questions guide this Creative Arts Camp, along with Jesus' words in Matthew 22:37-39: "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and first commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself."
The command to love our neighbor as ourselves may seem so clear and simple, yet we struggle individually and as a society to live out this aspect of God's kingdom. This camp begins by focusing on the self and then shifts the focus outward to identify the neighbors Jesus calls us to love unconditionally. This camp will help kids broaden their definition of neighbor to fit Christ's true call to us- love everyone as an extension of loving God.
This camp is for children finishing preschool through 6th grade. We will meet for three days- July 10,11, and 12th from 10:00am-12:00pm at First Presbyterian Church.
