Adult Bible Study Fall 2022 - Searching for Sunday

The Adult Education Committee invites you to join a discussion of the book Searching for Sunday: Loving, Leaving, and Finding the Church, by Rachel Held Evans Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. from September 29 – October 27.  We’re going to try a hybrid approach, meeting in person in the church library the first and last sessions (September 29 and October 27) and meeting via Zoom the middle three weeks (October 6, 13, and 20).

In Searching for Sunday, Evans recounts her misgivings about the faith of her childhood and her quest to understand Church in a new way and find her place in it once again.  She weaves her personal journey with reflections on the meaning of the church’s traditional sacraments and ends where she begins, with a sense of the goodness and nearness of God.
